Anne Enright’s Born in Dublin, her debut collection of short stories, The Portable Virgin in 1991, announced her as a major presence in Irish literature and received
the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. Her novels include What Are You Like? Which won the 2001 Encore Award and was shortlisted for the Whitbread Novel Award; The Pleasure of Eliza Lynch (2002) and The Gathering which won the 2007 Man Booker Prize for Fiction. Her most recent novel is The Forgotten Waltz (2011) was short listed for the Orange Prize for Fiction 2012.
